Building Reviews (10)

There are none at the moment other than simply being in manhattan in reasonable bus access to minimize walks to the subway.
Cons:Do not reside here or work here. Most of the time, management does not assign more work, and employees are already stretched too thin. Anything can go wrong on afternoon shifts, which are frequently solitary shifts, and there is hardly any time to take calls to check on things. There is not enough time to finish the duties at hand, and everything is very poorly arranged. The afternoon shift is handled by a two-person team. Good luck controlling the crowd that amasses in front of the nearby home developments. You'll find some interesting analyses of the issues they raise and how quickly they evict potential tenants below. They were cautioned against being stingy, but they ought to have realized that mishaps could occur. This evaluation is truthful.
All potential tenants should be aware that the building across the street is public housing and that some of its residents hang out in the nearby public park, which is run by the building's employees. Since it is based on my personal experience working at Parc East Apartments and providing an evaluation of my time with the company, this review is truthful and factual. I encountered problems as a result of residents' actions, as was stated. Since they made a final decision and declined to acknowledge that it was this website, my rating stands as the final judgment.
Tenant:
I lived at Parc East for almost three years.Let's start with the positives here, because it won't take long. The doormen are extremely friendly, helpful, and nice to talk to. I give them a lot of credit for dealing with the constant inflow of packages, guests, and issues that may arise throughout their day. And we're done!
Cons:Now onto the real experience. Pretty terrible, especially for the price. Management may not have graduated middle school. They are PAINFUL to communicate with, that is, if you even get a hold of them. It may take them a few days to return your calls/emails. The elevators are ALWAYS broken. And I mean always. There is a constant line for them because one is always down, not to mention they are terribly slow. In the summer don't bother taking them, they have no AC. It's like getting a nice steam after the gym. One Thursday night the elevators were down after 10pm, yes all of them. So those of us in the 20s simply had to walk up 20 flights, no big deal I guess. Hopefully it was easy for everyone. The gym is small, yet workable, and they even have a water cooler. However, the water cooler never had cups so it defeats the purpose of having the said cooler. There is also no bathroom near the gym, so remember to go before heading down. They shut the AC off around mid September, when it's still roughly 85-90 degrees out. When they do this the entire building shuts off so the only way to not sweat at night is to open your window and hope you get a warm breeze. Oh and this winter, yup you guessed it, the heat didn't work for a few days, good stuff! This place is falling apart so terribly they had to rent my exact apartment after we left for $1300 less, after trying to charge us for an increase LOL. At least my friend got a good deal. Good times Parc East and farewell!P!
Tenant:
The one consistent bright spot of living here is the doorman who are very nice and always helpful
Cons:Despite the outside appearances the downsides of living in Parc East far outweighs the positives. The elevators never ever work and if by some chance they do work they are so slow. The management company is incredibly slow in responding to the most basic emails if they even do respond. The gym is unspectacular but gets the job done. Do not expect it to be clean though. The laundry room has generally an equal number of working and broken machines.
Tenant:
The doormen here are fantastic, as is the maintenance team. Apartments are spacious and well lit, the appliances are decent, the laundry room is huge, and the gym gets the job done. The leasing and corporate staff are also helpful and supportive. Overall I'm very happy living here.
Cons:Why not 5 stars? The elevators are soooooo slow and frequently have problems.
Tenant:
There is no many buildings in nyc that offer this size of apartments! our bedroom can easy fit king size and queen size bed . the view of empire state is amazing!!! great location close to everything!
Tenant:
Jim, Safia, and Diedre from the leasing office have all been wonderful to work with. The whole leasing team, concierge and service staff have all been very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable! We love Parc East and love the location as well.
Tenant:
I have lived at this community for almost 3 years and have had the best experience. All of the concierge are very polite and grab my packages from the package room to give to me as I walk in the door. The office staff is always professional and helpful. Whenever I have a maintenance issue, it's fixed right right away. The layouts here are very spacious and my apartment is big enough to entertain my friends which is very hard to find living in NYC! I love that I have a kitchen I can actually cook in. I feel very at home here at Parc East!
Tenant:
I have lived in this building for 2 years and this is my opinion... Pros: Doorman and maintenance staff is very friendly and good Everything including leasing paperwork to putting in request to paying your rent is handled online on their website -- super convenient!Gym is free which is a great perk in cold winter months Laundry room is huge! Service elevator In a great location (close to 6 train)
Cons:Con: Sewer bills :/ extra money that should already be covered in rent Rent goes high by alot of $$ every year even if you have been living there for years Leasing office team sometimes take a while to follow up on things when you email them Overall, I highly recommend this building. Give it a try!
Tenant:
I've never lived in the building but toured it. The biggest reason for the lower rating is the fact that they'd recently (within the last year) had a bedbug infestation. They said that only one apartment was affected and that they continue to do treatments but that makes these apartments an automatic "no" for me. Also, they have insulation in the AC for the winter (otherwise it gets cold) which prevents it's utilization until the spring when someone comes to take it out. Given unpredictable weather patterns for the last year, I would have like more control. And for the price, you can get more bang for your buck across the street in StyTown or something much nicer a few blocks up. But that's just my opinion. I just really wish they disclosed the bedbug thing over the phone before I spent my time going there but it's my fault for not asking.TLDR: They had bedbugs and I wish I asked before I went.

I promised myself that when I moved out I would write a review of Parc East, because I really did love living there and it seems like people only review apartment buildings if it is horrible.I lived at Parc East for 2 years.Pros:Very cleanSuper friendly "doormen"Nice BuildingSafeHardly ever saw so much as a fly and our windows were open with no screens. One time there was a roach but upon further investigation, it seems to be the kind that "comes in with you" (gross) and once it was killed none were ever seen againAble to pay rent onlineAble to submit service requests onlineService requests were always handled swiftlythe doormen were so friendly and helpful....for example, in my new building if you don't pick up a package within a day, they return the package...that would NEVER happen in parc east
Cons:Cons:The staff was a bit unhelpful towards the end in helping us understand our final bill. the elevator wait...ughresidents of the building are all your typical murray hill people. i live in a different building in murray hill now and people are way friendlierrent raises. In the 3 years my apartment was occupied (I replaced another person after one year) the rent was raised a total of around $500 (and they wanted to raise it another 250, which is why we moved)
