DO NOT LIVE HERE! It's such a ghetto building.This building deserves no stars. My husband and I are moving out as soon as our lease is up. here's a summary of our experience. - 80% of the building pays for 100% of costs because 20% of the units are rented to low income families, which we weren't told when we moved in. -One of our neighbors across the hall has been a nightmare. We've been regularly woken up to police banging on his door, his wife and him fighting, etc. He has since moved out, but rents his apartment out as a vacation rental (which is not allowed, per the terms on the lease). He's had numerous complaints, management is aware but can't kick him out because he is a low income tenant. Apparently, they can't evict people who completely take advantage of the system. -Management isn't responsive to requests-Only 3 doormen fluently speak and understand English. The others have no idea what's going on. The super also doesn't understand English. They're all lazy --don't open doors when you're coming in with groceries, etc. In fact, it isn't uncommon for most of them to act like you're putting them out when you need help. -The "gym" is a joke. It's more of a room with a few machines. If you lift weights, don't be surprised when all the dumbells are gone because they use them to keep the floors down to avoid buckling when remodeling apartments. -One of the doormen is allowed to work his other job when he is on shift. He is a translator and sits there taking calls and responding to emails. Don't expect him to do his job. He also refused to wear his uniform for months when the air conditioner was out --another issue (why should it take MONTHS to fix the air conditioner in a building where two bedrooms costs $5k+ a month?!). So for months he wore a t-shirt and shorts --making the building look even more ghetto. -tons of roommate shares where mom and dad are picking up the rent tab so you have a bunch of bratty, entitled college kids throwing ragers in their apartments and on the roof. We wake up to empty beer and liquor bottles in our hallway on a regular basis. No consequences are taken when you complain. On one occasion, we woke up to a drunk, shirtless man passed out in our hallway nearly sick from one of these parties.All in all, it's a building that reminds you that you work your ass off to live in a desirable location and building, but many around you completely take advantage of the system. They basically think the government is their baby daddy.
