Current Tenant: 2020 - 2020
convenient location, large windows
Cons:Workers broke into our apartment without our consent to do non-agreed and non-emergency repairs during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is clearly against NYC Public Service Law #228. We told them many times in documented emails and phone calls that we do not want them to enter our apartment and endanger the health and lives of our very young children. We immediately vacated the premises, but still have to pay the full rent. There were confirmed virus infections in Westmont, and the workers visit many apartments, so the administration and superintendent willfully and negligently took actions that possibly exposed us to the virus and endangered our health. We do not feel safe to return to Westmont given their aggressive and unconscionable behavior.
Tenant:
Awful management. Major heat problems this winter that they can't properly address or fix. One elevator is constantly broken, leaving one elevator for 15 floors of apartments. There is no service elevator so move-ins and move-outs reserve an elevator for 3-4 hour time blocks. Approximately 1/3 if the machines in the laundry room have been broken and not repaired for weeks. They also haven't been allowing anyone to use the automatic sliding doors into/out of the building on cold days (it's the winter in NYC!) and are making tenants use a small door that is nearly impossible to manage if you are handicapped or have a stroller (which A TON of residents have young children). The concierge does not assist with the door on times when the sliding doors have been locked shut to prevent use. Would have recommended this building a year ago, but it has gone completely downhill and DO NOT RECOMMEND now. It's supposedly a luxury building on the UWS so no need to mention rent, or rent increases...those are absurd, as expected.
Tenant:
I've regularly been deeply disappointed in this building. Elevators are slow. 50% of doorman are downright rude, the others provide little help other than accepting packages. The HVAC system is horrible. Air Conditioning units that flood the floors below and days with no heat. It's frustrating considering rents are not cheap.
